This Room is dedicated to the one and only "Duke"
"Hold it right there, Pilgrim!" You can almost hear The Duke's drawl as you enter the John Wayne Room, which is dedicated to the great actor who called the Lodge home during the filming of "True Grit" in this area in the late '60s. The massive cedar headboard, aspen lamp, and log picture frames were hand-crafted exclusively for the Lodge by Steve Hodgin, who also painted the main Country Lodge sign out front. John Wayne memorabilia is enhanced by a southwest design comforter and sheets on the King bed. Microwave and refrigerator, wooden rocker and desk, and a full bath are included, and this room adjoins Room 9 if such a configuration better meets your needs. This nonsmoking room opens via patio doors to the beautiful garden courtyard area surrounding the pool and hot tub, where lawn chairs add to the relaxing environment!
